Namecheap Review Great For Domains

The perfect Domain Name for your website

With a decentralized web on a peer-to-peer network based on blockchain technology, you'll have more freedom.

PHOENIX, Sept. 23, 2021 /PRNewswire/ PHOENIX, Ariz., Sept. PHOENIX, Ariz., March 23, 2021 /PRNewswire/ PHOENIX, Ariz., March 23, 2021 / Handshake domain registration services are now available from Namecheap, the world's second-largest domain registrar. Handshake (HNS) is a blockchain-based peer-to-peer network that functions similarly to a secure public register. It's a novel way to domain name ownership that avoids established organizations and registry monitoring, giving users more control and ownership over their domain name and website.

Starting today, anyone can use Namecheap's main Domain Search engine to search, select, and register a Handshake domain name. After selecting a chosen domain name in the search window, go to Namecheap.com and click the (HNS) button option. Customers can manage their Handshake domain names using their Namecheap accounts once registration is complete.

Decentralizing the web provides a more egalitarian online environment in which technologies, rather than a few stakeholders, drive the Internet community. Handshake signifies a move toward decentralization, with incremental advances that provide users more freedom, security, and less oversight.

The following Handshake TLDs are now available from Namecheap: .p,.pgp,.sox,.elite,.ill,.saas,.creator,.oh,.oo,.oot,.orb,.oh,.oo,.oot,.orb,.p,.pgp,.sox,.elite,.ill,.saas,.creator,.oh,.oo,.oot,.orb,.

ICANN, a non-profit organization, now oversees website addresses. The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) establishes the rules for what letter combinations can be used after the dot in any domain name. Handshake aspires to be self-contained from ICANN and to provide an infinite number of top-level domains. It's also worth noting that Handshake domains don't resolve in standard browsers without some additional configuration. On its new landing page, Namecheap, however, explains multiple ways to access Handshake domains.
